This week has been a little difficult to work on this class, mostly due to my poor time management and currently not having a set schedule. So this is something that i'll need to do better at next week.

What I had learnt was getting to know the basic principles of design since I hadn't had the chance to check it out, I didn't look too much into it, i had just briefly read about them;

I also had a look at the "Graphic design- Colour" pdf and decided to take note of this as I'd like to use a sunflower as the main feature flower.

From what I had gathered from this is that the colours expresses her mood before and after the music. before the music, the colour scheme is grey, dull and boring. However after she uses the homepod playing music her mood changes and and the whole scene feels more uplifting hence the brighter colours at the top.

Arts & craft movement Research

  • What is the colour palette in each and what is the tonal value?

The colour palette has blue, lighter & darker greens, cream & red.

  • How regular or variable are the patterns?

the branches and leaves are repetitive with the occasional fruit appearing. There is also the bird which my eye is more drawn to since there is only one in this image.

Note From slack activity; Something that I learnt from this was that in arts & craft patterns are used from using the motifs.

Learning Illustrator

* Some things I didn't know how to do in illustrator so heres some tutorials i found;

I also played around with the colour swatches a little
